About Nicole Tingwall and Windy City Dinner Fairy
Food artist Nicole Tingwall is the owner and head chef of Windy City Dinner Fairy. She left her first career as a paralegal to follow her dreams, graduating top-of-her-class at the Cooking and Hospitality School of Chicago and earning her Pâtisserie Arts degree.
In 2010, Nicole started providing catering services to the Chicagoland area as the Windy City Dinner Fairy and by 2014 she’d established herself as a unique and creative cake artist. Today, Nicole is a freelance foodie-for-hire—styling and photographing food for product promotion, recipe development, and creating stunning custom cakes.
Nicole’s sweet creations have received high praise as the “best themed cakes in Chicago.” She’s appeared on Windy City Live, been named Protein Bar’s “Super Spice Girl,” and taught cupcake decorating at Macy’s. Her recipes have been featured on Huffington Post, The FeedFeed, and countless other websites and magazines.
